Railhead jig.

I thought I'd have a go at making an adjustable jig to cover most railheads and vertical bar combinations.
I normally just tack bits of steel to the bench to position the job, but then cut it all away once the jobs finished, so it will be nice to have something that's reusable.

It's all made in aluminium to avoid spatter so hopefully it will be good for a few years.
Don't be shy on suggesting any improvements....I only made it up as I went along

The only issue I see is the railhead will vary due to different levels of sprue and genrally tolerances
Must admit I have tacking fixtures for some but still have to go through and check every last one after and always end up breaking off and doing some again by eye.

No matter how much I try to keep em square when welding there's always a few need knocking into line when railing is all welded.

Nowt looks worse than a crooked or off centre railhead !
Someone did a job in the next village to me, it looks pretty good on the whole nice paint and tidy fit (bit samey for me like ). But there's an odd off centre railhead and a odd crooked one and I see it as I drive past (I would personally not let it go out)

Yeh I'm same Kent always look down the line and they all have to be in line before it's goes any where
