Range Rover Off Roader

Right guys been on this forum ages and never introduced myself.

Im Andrew, im 16 and stay on a farm near Glasgow.
Im into off roading.

I bought a Clarke 160TM after reading the buyers guide and various topics, i also bought a ESAB Auto helmet off weldequip on here.
Ive just ordered a bottle of Adams gas argon and co2 mix

My main project is this range rover classic, ive cut the rear body off, bobtailed the chassis and am nearly ready to weld the cab back up.

The spec is 3.9 V8i auto. Currently 2" lift, but may need to increase to prevent rubbing. i may weld the rear diff up to enhance traction ad the tyres are 36.5" high.

Ill keep this updated with pics and more than likely come back to ask questions.

Nice start to your project , are you going to keep the rear body shape (shortened) or go for a pick-up / tray back?
If you do lift over 2" you will have to consider castor correction lower links and propshaft/UJ angles might be a problem.

ill go for the pick-up/trayback style, ill use box section and shhet steel to cab it up. Will put a roll cage on in thre new year. I may add 1" extra to the front, so it doesnt rub the arches, if i need to go more than 1" ill put a 2" body lift on it, but dont realy want to as the high enough as it is.

The silver tank is a fuel tank, i got it from ebay and it holds 120L. The other ine is just a Lockable storage box for ropes etc.

i pland on doing that to a range rover but i neva got round to it and it just sat in the back yard for a year then sold it for the same mony i payed for it lol
