my question is I've just purchased one and what I can't figure out is the vice bit there is 2 jaws on top with a bolt with a washer on both but they will not tighten down I see there is a hole where a bar slides in for 90degree and 45 degree but I would have thought the 2 bolts would clamp down so there would be no movement at all any hel[ would be great thanks

the 2 bolts with allen caps on the swivel jaws should go tight otherwise the jaws will just move around there might be crap in the threads stopping it but more than likely the bolts are too long take them out and measure the length they may be bottoming out

providing the threads are ok try putting an extra washer on each and nip them up

that's them mate should be quite accurate with the location holes for 90degree and 45 degree

you just have to set them with a square no markings on them for accuracy .not the best of designs .when used at 45degrees and tightened they tend to turn a bit
