Hi not sure if this is the right forum, but just bought a rapidor power hacksaw, is in good shape but needs stripping cleaning and painting. Bought is from a farmer so has not seen any oil in years. I am having trouble getting the drive shaft and pulley off. Removed the nut holding the ecentric cam but its solid and wont come off, tried removing the spring on the clutch but cant move either. Cant get spares for these ang more so stopped as dont want to break anyrhing. How have other folk got these apart?

Is it a Minor, Major, or one of the heavier duty shipyard saws?

had all mine to bits but that was 40 odd years ago and cant remember . i think the crank wheel is on a taper with a nut on the end

Aye, the crank is on a taper, on all models. Which model it is denotes how much finesse is required for parting them.
