Let's have a butchers at this:



At the top we have part of a car brake caliper that has been pickling in my derusting tank for a couple of days. Below it we find a corresponding part (from the other side of the vehicle) that has been subsequently sand blasted with my 'crappy' Aldi blasting gun using kiln dried builders sand from Wickes (it was on offer - buy 5 and get the sixth free).

Perhaps this will put to bed many of the claims about the quality and effectiveness of these very inexpensive tools.

Looks effective just make sure you have very good PPE and no one is about or down wind if you are blasting with sand.
It can come with nasty results.

It's done a good job, I never have a problem buying Aldi tools, as my workshop shelf proves.

Was just using the saw bench today and still super impressed with what it is for £89 with a spare blade and 3 year warranty.

I bought the bench top pillar drill years ago and its taken a lot of abuse and still is running strong. For €90 its paid for itself 100 times over
