The charity I work with is going to get solar panels on the roof of the 30ft container we use as a workshop and we've been advised to re-rustproof the roof before doing it.
The roof is corrugated and the thought of kneeling on it for 19 weeks with a hot air gun and a scraper isn't appealing. Any reason we couldn't go at it with a felt-roofing torch and burn /bubble the paint off, then scrape it?
I presume it would be pretty hard to set fire to the roof...
Any other suggestions? (not about the solar panels - we've debated that to death internally, already )
