First off I thought it was Hammerite causing reactions with the paint, but then I phoned the zinc primer company I was using said it was unsuitable for celly. So I sanded all the zinc primer off and etch the metal and remaining paint but it reacted again as in the picture. So perhaps it was Hammerite too?
Other places I sprayed etch on in the engine bay reacted if the zinc primer was present but did not react on areas I had rubbed the primer off of. I used etch because I have it in a can and so don't need to faff with the spray gun to test for reactions, but could it be that only the etch will react and the high build won't?
I then used the etch to spray the inside in some test areas, I got reactions on the floor but not the roll-cage. I would guess the floor had been touched in with Hammerite or another enamel paint whereas the cage remained untouched from the professional painter in 2K or something else unreactive.
So my questions are - Does this look like an enamel reaction? Will a barcoat be suitable to spray the interior with followed by celly products? What high build, bare metal primer and paint WON'T react with the exist paint that I can spray without an air-fed mask?
