Reciprocating Air Saw

just bought an airsaw for my compressor but when i connect it up to my compressor and pull the trigger the saw just moves down and then stops and there is now sawing action at all the saw is a cheap one from fleebay its air consumption is 4 cfm at 90 psi max my compressor is 8 cfm and is set to 85-90 psi and i dont know why its not sawing can someone help with this thanks

put a few drops of oil down it and run it in for a while without a blade in it, when I got a clarke one the blade guide was slightly out of line so had to fettle a bit on it. You might want more pressure also.

ok gave it a try still stoping on the down stroke the pressure in the compressor should still make it go even if its only for a min or two i would think

I had the same thing with an air ratchet, just ran it at slightly higher pressure until it was run-in.

Is there a screw where you hold it/attach your airline?. you can adjust the speed with that if you have one fitted

i'd say the screw needs adjusting, my sander was the same lol

it has a screw on the bottom of the saw which ive turned but still no stroke
