For tyres I use Ring pumps, cheap but adequate. Much better than the things sold in every petrol station in that mine have lasted since 2016 with frequent use. Small enough without the casing to go under motorbike seat and often adequate to pop the bead when fitting new tyres.

To me whilst gases and liquids are both fluids you pump water or liquids, and compress, blow or suck gases. Mostly, there are exceptions to this.

Tbh, I tend to think all the 12v tyre pumps are either underwhelming or "how much!" (Or both). Also, due to thr limitations of the 12v supply & the cigar socket, take an age to inflate tyres.
For a few quid, you can get a bicycle "Track Pump" (the type with a foot plate to stand on, and a two-handed handle). One of these will inflate a tyre way faster than a 12v compressor and with very little effort (& no racket). That's what I use if the proper compressor isn't available.

I have both. Depends what is being inflated. I bought the Blow Joe track pump for the bycycle for around £20 and like it very much. Very fast inflation for the cycle. While I have never tried to seal a car tyre on to the rim of the wheel with it, I often use it to top up the pressure on a car tyre.
I also have the excellent TMax compressor as depicted by 8ob above, £70 at the time. I rarely use it, but it is very capable if and when needed. It lives in the house not the garage, so no damp.
