Recommendations for cheap Multi Tool Blades

Im picking up a good used nearly new Milwaukee Fuel m12 Multi tool on Friday.

I'd like to order a set of Starlock type spare blades for it. (Cutting wood, plastic and metals)

Can members share links to reasonably priced sets of blades please? The genuine Milwaukee ones are pricey and I'm not wanting to spend alot on blades initially to see how much use I'll get out of the tool.

Just go with the cheapest you can find on Amazon or Ebay. Even expensive blades don't last long, so not worth the extra, IMHO.

There appears to be some confusion here. The original post asks for "Starlock-type." The blades to which you link are not Starlock. It could, of course, be that the original post is incorrect in its description of the blades (i.e. the Milwaukee machine uses standard OIS), but right now 1+1 is not equalling 2.

Interesting do they fit each other's drive lock?
Genuine question been stood in b+q looking for a specific blade and the other lot made them but wasn't sure if it would fit my (currently missing but very handy ) parkside.

No. Starlock need Starlock. OIS types should be able to use either, as Starlock blades usually include the required holes, I believe.

Those blades @jsf55 linked to should be fine for that tool. It's not Starlock.

OK that's good news. Milwaukee blades were showing as Starlock in the main listing's so that threw me off then. (Some are also not starlock)

Fairly sure that takes OIS blades (as suggested on the link), not starlock. However starlock blades are compatible with OIS tools.
Starlock plus and starlock max aren't compatible with OIS.
Starlock are compatible with plus and max.

Basically if its starlock, get a starlock blade, if its OIS you should be OK with either the cheap OIS blades, or the original starlock blades.
If you have a starlock plus or max machine, then you probably already know what type of blades you need.

FB seller said he can meet me tonight so I'll post better pictures later and hold off ordering new blades until I see exactly what type of blade is currently fitted and what it looks like it will accept otherwise.

I've never found cheap blades last very well so started making my own by chopping up a cheap panel saw and welding bits onto worn blades.
This has just cut 4m of floor boards flush to fitted wardrobes.
Losing its edge a bit now

None do. I've used branded & cheap blades side by side, & there's little between them, generally.

Only difference is, cheap blades don't make you weep at the price.

Not found any that I’d recommend even from the big brand names. Last lot I bought were £16 for 50 blades from eBay and I can’t complain

They are ok, but not that much better than the cheapos for the price.

Also find it a false economy on time and the multitool to keep running blades when they have stopped really cutting, bin it & stick a new one on.

That's the way. That's why the cheap ones are preferable. You're not as tempted to try & get your money's worth out of them. Off, bin it, new one on.

i use my cheapos for cutting in to plastered walls back to the brick for wall socket boxes and chases get a few done before they knack up , then i just cut new teeth in with a dremmel using slitting disks and away you go again they dont have to be accurate so you can sharpen them about 4 times
