Record Leader 14PB All Steel Vice.
I was given this vice years ago by a family friend whose Father passed away. I must've had it for nearly 15 years, God knows how long he had it for. It was in good condition but I repainted it about 10 years ago so it's not the original Record blue.
It's all steel welded construction and there's no quick release. It's really smooth with hardly any slop which leads me to believe it had an easy life in his garage.
The rivetted name plate:
The top surface of both jaws has RECORD No.14PB stamped into them:
I've tried googling for info but to no avail. I was just curious as to how old it might be and what they retailed for. I've never seen a welded all steel vice before as they're usually all cast iron.
*Apologies for the photobucket pics, but I'd rather scoop out my eyeballs with a melon baller rather than try the other method of uploading pics, as the laptop came very near to being bounced off the wall *
