after owning an old churchill pillar drill for the last 30 years. it was 20 year old when i bought it now looking worst for wear but mechanicaly sound i decided a refit 2 be in order .the only thing wrong with it was a worn chuck and belt and a modification to the table namely had no slots in for clamping down the vice . machine stripped cleaned and painted .table mounted on miller 2 slots machined in reasembled repainted as good as new the cost £50 to buy £12 for new chuck of e bay. a new belt £4.00 . 5 quid for paint and some spare time
