Regulators?

I have a 3hp 150L compressor, its about 20yrs old and British made, I think its flow rate is 13CFM.

I need to buy a new regulator/filter etc for it and I dont know where to start. My concern is that I buy something that will unknowingly cut down my flow rate, my rubber air lines are 3/8 internal.

Im planning on running a blasting pot which I understand the compressor isn't really big enough for and a spray gun. Is there a way I should best configure the pipework to maximise what I have?

Also can anyone recommend a suitable regulator/filter set up and advice please?

You could do a lot worse than pick up a decent brand such as Norgren, Parker or SMC - retail new they are eye watering but can often be found at good prices on the bay of evil.
You will need to be diligent in checking part numbers to ensure you get something with the right specifications, in terms of flow, pressure rating and inlet/outlet.

Your 3/8 lines are fine for spraying, but for blasting bigger is always better.
Guys on here will be able to advise you regarding blasting pots, but my cabinet (which is heavy on air) is plumbed in with short 1/2 hose into my 22mm air ring main.

I did wonder if I should run a big diameter pipe direct to my blasting set up then have a take off off it with a regulator on for the spray gear? as I said Im clueless though so open to advice.

Got this at Screwfix ? £40 ish, (they discount this one a lot)
Its a PCL 1/2” ( has much better throughput than the 1/4” and costs the same )
note this is a combi Filter and a regulator, with a simple manual (dumps when zero pressure) auto drain At the bottom .
The side connectors are simple 90 deg. Stainless Street Elbows.
Maybe that would work for you? I am trusting (note not tried yet) I will be able to spray with it ? ( like you my hose line is 3/8” ID).
I think its WP is 16 Bar, but check. Fine for me as my max is 150 psi circa 10 Bar?

Comes with brackets either side. Note the stainless plate bar I made, from some off cut. I just bolted that over the Handle bolts. So its portable.

Seems accurate, but when under pressure (10 bar) its a tad stiff. If depressurised its easy to dial up or down. By using a hose connected to the normal regulated output, this can be connected to the direct output on the end of the tank (see other red silicone dust cap).
