Well having made my first post then realised this page existed, so... hello to all and well done for such an informative site.
I have been in engineering for ....., well, since I left school. as for welding, there was an early fascination of watching others join metal and I started with a stick welder on a farm. Then progressed through college with mig and tig and gas, and during apprenticeship i was able to learn from highly experienced and skilled fabricators. After a gap of about 15 years i got back on the tools in 2008 for a while, some of this was making and mending agricultural stuff. Now however my making and mending is more for fun, therefore i intend to make the most of it and take time to enjoy rather than feel pressured by the customer. And with a site like this for inspiration & guidance wait n see what comes out of the shed...!
