Spec: Renault Trafic 2.1D from mid 90s, scruffy but looks solid, LHD non runner but these engines are indestructible - right??
It turned up a couple of months ago, bought as a gamble - the plan was to get it running then see what’s needed to put it back on the road
First impressions are lots of butchered wiring but on the road 2 years ago so how bad could it be
3 days were spent getting it running so I could drive it out of the field it had been abandoned in, a couple of hours with a strimmer to clear an exit road, then the seller mentioned the plastic fuel tank was holed (so he could drain the diesel?). It would have been nice to know sooner
Some of the “missing” engine bay harness was found under piles of junk in the back of the van Pure vandalism and I still don’t know why ..
