Hi,
been using the grit blaster to clean up some body panels prior to paint and really please with the results.
Described elsewhere on here but basically a Clarke 150 comp, with a 20 gallon e-bay pressure pot using JB Supafine
Problem is I seem to be eating the ball valves (the main on/off on the end of the blasting hose)
The original blew a hole in the case of the valve which looked like a casting defect, so I picked up another one from a hydraulics/piping place and it has lasted about an hour.
Now won't shut off fully so have continuous air bleed. I was running it on partially open settings, and am wondering if this is dumb and should I use the throttle? valve to regulate power (the one after the main air line regulator valve) and leave the valve at the end of the hose fully open to reduce wear?
Does anyone sell hardened valves for these applications I wonder?
Thoughts gratefully recieved
