Hi I have been helping a friend today in his paint shop. Early this morning his 2 year old Sealey compressor blew a head gasket. Just as the paint had been mixed! On removing the head, we could see that part of the valve spring had broken and bits had gone into the cylinder. Made a new gasket and got it going for the job.
I have told him he needs to purchase a new Compressor. As his business is growing he needs to upgrade.
His old compressor is a Sealey SAC32775B. 3ph, 7.5hp, 29cfm, 26cfm Free air and 270 lt tank.
When painting or running DA's its running flat out.
He needs ideally to be able to run 2 spray guns and 2 air fed mask as he does some large vehicles.
Question
What size should he go for. Should it be a screw compressor. Any makes worth a look at.
