Several models appear to be exactly the same unit. See if you can spot them

I am considering the Burisch BT2550SV, as its slightly higher powered, though I'm a bit concerned about the noise and oil.

Anyone with any experience of these or any ideas which I should get?

Sad that,using cast metal on a moving part like that,silly really.

Did the motor shaft break away as well?

Have you thought about casting a new con rod?

Perceived wisdom on here is to go for a belt driven machine. Quieter and more reliable.

The shaft broke presumably after the conrod. It happed very quick, no bad noises, the revs went fast and no normal chugging.

It looked like the shaft was only connected halfway across its cross section.

Too advanced for me to cast a new conrod atm. Though i've always fancied trying to cast something! I may attempt to source some parts later and fix.
