Hey guys! Very VERY glad I found this site as I was struggling a lot with mig welding. My name's Chris, I live in England and I'm restoring a 1976 Mitsubishi Galant GTO and have thoroughly enjoyed welding up the parts that have needed to be done. On occasions I've gotten very frustrated tho.
After scanning through the tutorials here, tho, I've gotten much more comfortable with the skill.
I was hoping to get some tips on overlap welding though. The tip movement, alignment etc as this seemed to be the ultimate knowledge that improved my butt welding no end! Especially with the zig zag movement I was able to control the pool much better, but struggle to control the pool when I'm welding overlap.
This is the type of patch I'm going to have to weld a lot of and I want to get to a stage where I can grind it back to a clean nearly undistinguishable finish.
Thanks for any help
Chris
