Hi guys,
I recently bought a Burisch BT390T compressor and thought I would put up a brief review in case anyone was looking for a similar compressor.
The BT390T specs are:
3HP belt drive compressor
90l tank
14 CFM air displacement (no FAD stated but suspect it is around 8CFM based on other similar compressors)
10 bar maximum pressure.
It doesn't state on their website whether it can run off a normal 13amp supply but I spoke to a helpful lady at Burisch who confirmed that out of the many units they had sold they had only heard of a couple of occasions where a standard 13 amp supply lead to the supply MCB tripping. So far I have only run it off a 13 amp supply and had no issues with it.
The only issues I've had are:
1) Contacting Burisch by telephone was difficult at first (no answer on the landline and an incorrect mobile given on their ebay adverts) but there is mobile number given on the answerphone message which was answered quickly by the helpful Lara.
2) The regulator is set to 8 bar from the factory rather than 10 bar but Lara provided adjustment instructions by email so this is now sorted.
So far I am very satisfied with this compressor - it was delivered well packed and ready filled with oil (although an extra litre is provided), the three wheel arrangement makes it very mobile, it doesn't sound as loud as my old SIP direct drive unit and at £240 I think it is excellent value for money as an entry level belt drive compressor.
I did consider the similar Wolf Dakota unit but went for the Burisch compressor in the end because they are reasonably local to me and were happy to answer the questions I had.
