Looks good. I think the 181 just has the auto feature and digital display. Bit on the high end of my budget but want to only buy once.
Yeah I know what you mean, but it has a five year warranty and you can switch to manual as well. I would rather spend a bit more and get a good welder and have it. That other welder looks a good job to. There's so many different brands on the market to choose fromI would stay with the 180 version IMO. Auto feature all sounds nice but its more digital screens to go wrong in the long run. Also all you need for 100% and total adjustment is the manual dials. I think most auto set machines are not quite ideal and it's so easy to correctly set up a mig in the first place.
I will take full adjustment any day over machine pre determined settings.
Don't laugh but there is also a review I did on here on a ROHR euro torch inverter MIG and that welder gets more use than my R Tech and just as good in terms of the welds it can lay.
New Inverter gas MIG Rohr for £216
Spotted this and ordered one to try it out  That is on ebay and if you add code SAVE15 at checkout it comes out at £216 delivered. Very cheap for a 200amp inverter gas MIG. I can compare this to my R Tech Mig 180. I want another MIG so one for each garage as lugging them around...www.mig-welding.co.uk
The euro torch was OK but Binzel 4m evo was my choice for body welding so I upgraded the torch. Note the R Tech doesn't come with a Binzel torch either.
It sounds like a great machine. Have you welded thin body panels with it like .7mm with no issues?I am lucky enough to have both welders .
The 181 in my opinion is well worth the little bit more money .
Especially for a beginner
You still have full control
over all the settings .
The 181 also has adjustable burn back. .
Ss far as screens etc going wrong they have a 5 year warranty .
It will weld car body work no problem at all .It sounds like a great machine. Have you welded thin body panels with it like .7mm with no issues?
I'll be using it for mainly thin metal on my rusted Evo.
Ah yes I know that, but gotta start somewhere lolIts not the welder, its the welder
