Thanks pal. yeah a chap messaged yesterday saying the same thing, complete oversight on my part,I think i'll just run something from the corners to fix thatThe pans need to be clear of the top by about 13mm, it allows the stove to draw.
I use old extinguisher brackets on top of mine.
Thanks gaz, i will have to chop it out as its now fully welded, its in at a 45 do you have a precise angle in mind I should set it at? edited, ahh did you mean shorten the feeder? .send me your youtube link@JOEPRO i dont need to do the rocket stove post already exists
Rocket Stove
I made my first rocket stove today. Dead easy to make and a great project for welders of all experience. I'll give it a test run later and post more pics.www.mig-welding.co.uk
lower your feed box or higher your hotplate area
as the damn thing can flow towards the feed entrance therefore becoming a chimney itself
fit a door on it makes it even better
as ive noticed the higher part theres no proper way for the fumes to escape if you was to fill up that top area with a large pan
a cross section above allows this to happen but if you allowed the tube to be the mass of exhaust hitting the pan area a simple surround protects the flames from being blown around whilst also allowing the exhaust to drop at teh sides giving full rocket stove effect at the hotplate area
