Rollair 1500 cm6 screw compressor problems...

Hi all I've been a long term reader but first time poster and a think this is the place to help me out as I can't find any info anywhere,

Right I've got a worthington creyssensac rollair 1500 cm6 3 phase screw compressor it's about ten years old and has always been on the button but lately it's been failing to start when pressure drops so I'm thinking a new danfoss kp36 pressure switch? All I'm concerned about is as soon as I turn power on to the compressor the alarm light is flashing and the compressor displays E09 on the LCD display which I assume is error 09 but I can't find any information anywhere what this would be? It the displays SEP? Don't know if this is September or maybe seperator?

Hopefully someone on here might have had one or know of a manual?

Considering there is normally everything you need on the Internet there is nothing on this make of compressors.

I've even emailed worthington creyssensac for a manual but had no reply.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as its doing my head in now and is starting to cost me as its failing to start half way through jobs and as of late has decided to blow the odd fuse.

The compressor looks brand new to look at and is far from trashed and I definatley don't fancy buying another as I've only just getting over the £8500 price tag I paid for this one lol

do you have a manual for it with faults listed ?, if not they are here have a look through some faults are listed

Sep will probably be the internal separator on the compressor, either an element inside a large vessel or it can be a spin on filter like an oil filter, typically white on most compressors. When was it last serviced? Separators are normally supposed to be changed every 4000 run hours.

I've misplaced the manual for it unfortunately, I've looked through the link and looked at the faults but it refers to vc101 but it's not there ? I can seem to find a list of fault codes anywhere? I've emailed worthington to ask for a manual but no reply as yet.

Also compressor was services a few months ago so I assume the spectator would have been done then? Maybe they just didn't reset the timer?

Right I've found out today that E09 means nothing it's just the software version lol also Mike your correct sep is separator.

Is a seperatet service somthing I could do myself?

Also any ideas why it doesn't automatically start somtimes when pressure drops?

When it doesn't start does it make. Any noises ie buzzing or similar also when it does fail to start you could do to have the supply to the motor tested to either rule out or confirm the pressure switch is at fault

No mate no noise it's just like it hasn't realised the pressures dropped? When it does it I have to turn it off at the mains a few times and keep trying to start it it's like it thinks it's up to pressure .

Is the pressure switch the danfoss one that's adjustable?

Is there a way to test the pressure switch?

you would need to let the pressure drop, disconnect from the mains and test the continuity of the switch with a multimeter
