seems to be a Christmas tradition for me, and it just goes to show that you're never too old to learn. If only science was as much fun when we were at school.

I wondered whether they would be on this year but going to give it a miss having seen the subject matter can’t see it inspiring the next generation of engineers. Imagine what they could have lectured on. Hydrogen, nuclear, wind, battery technology,electric vehicles, etc, etc

The technology used for testing / screening for viruses needs engineers to develop the testing hardware. Some understanding of the underlying principles of the process could come in useful.
