running long air line ????

well im making my little spraybooth/project room at home and space is tight and with a 300 litre air compressor taking up a huge amount of space i got to thinking if i put the compressor out in the back i can run the air hose behind the skirting board through the house up to the garage at the front, my question is , will it be ok to run about 20 meteres of air hose without effecting the pressure/useability etc of the compressor, im new to compressors and thought id check first

My compressor is in a Portakabin 20 metres from the main workshop, connected by standard 25mm MDPE blue water pipe. Used this system for years and it has the added advantage that the pipe is actually a significant reservoir as far as capacity is concerned. I have two other remote workshops also connected by mdpe so the storage is the system is quite high.

No problems with pressure drop even when running my blast cabinet

Should be OK. Use 10mm bore hose and fit the regulator/water trap inside the garage so the line is at tank pressure.

Try to avoid horizontal sections to stop water collecting. In the winter this can freeze and block the pipe. As far as possible slope the hose away from the tank.

10mm would be ok for just spraying but would be a restriction for anything of higher demand.

25mm would be better at that distance .no loss of cfm better cooling small piping increases velocity and turbulence which causes back pressure i also use c couplings for large air use as theres no restrictions in the fittings like in pcl or even eurocouplings
