Just a real simple one. I like the oxy-cut steel edges next to the weathered surface. Thicker plate would probably look cooler, but that's what I had.

Very err different, I would hook the top there have been a lot of people in offices blinded by pencils etc on desk when bending down for something "sorry for being an ex safety rep"

It lives at the back of my desk under a shelf. Risk mitigated. How would I stab my receipts with a hooked end? Be like one of those wire buzzer games

Same way you do now and then slide it around the hook. It obviously needs to be a nice, open, curvy hook, not a tight bend/radius hook. Also makes the stand handy for hanging from a hook.

I wasn't the one who was concerned over you poking your eye out. I was merely saying how the hook should be formed. Personally, I think a fake eyeball on the top of that spike would look better than the bobbin.
