I was just reading an obituary in the Torygraph of a chap called Sammy Basso who died age 28 of progeria - a rare condition where you age prematurely. It's also in wikipedia etc.
The reason I post this is the last line of the obituary, bearing in mind this is a guy that never grew taller than 4ft 6in, went bald at about 4 and had all the things we are facing as we age - myself being 54 - like baldness, wrinkled skin, hardening of the arteries, arthritis, brittle bones and a wizened stature.
He managed to study for a degree, followed by a masters.
The last line says..
Basso was the oldest-known person living with progeria when he died after a night of dancing while having dinner with friends in a restaurant in Asolo.
Good man.
