yea out of carbon steel hardened and they dont last 5 minutes

Wouldn't a plasma cutter ceramic shroud be hard enough to be used as a nozzle for sand blasting nozzle,

Don't mess about - get a tungsten carbide one.

ceramic nozzles wear out quite quick carbide is the thing there are diffrent quality carbide nozzles but unless stated by supplier u have no way of knowing what grade

I have used old spark plugs with the centre electrode drilled out, they last reasonably well. I don't know if they last as long as a tungsten carbide one as I haven't tried one.
