sand blasting pot

hi can anyone tell me a little about the blasting pot in pictutres?was given it at weekend and wondered what if anything it needed to be usable and what kind of nozzle itd need etc?any help would be greatly appreciated.

It wants another grands worth of compressor to run it now though. A friend of mine used to run one off an ex gas board van with a built in compressor and generator.

thanks for the help and may have to get rid of it then and get something a little smaller as not in position to be able to get a larger compressor.mate even gave me the air fed helmet and gauntlets for it as he thought itd be just what needed.think will put it in the for sale section unless can find someone who wants to swap for something smaller?will even throw in the carpet.

It's only the tip size that specifies the need for compressor cfm - the pressurised pot type blasting gear is more efficient in cfm than any other type of blasting gear.

3mm tip can just about be run from 13cfm. I did a whole chassis with one, but it took a full day.

thanks malcom and whilst at it may i ask you a couple of question ?my compressor has 18cfm fad and you say with a 3mm tip i could run it of that?only want top refurb a few sets of wheels for a couple of mates .where would i find a decent tip that size and also where could i find an adapter so could connect airline to compressor i alread yhave as blaster has the type used for road compressors on it ?thnks as need all the help i can get.would be happy to keep just til can afford a better compressor as keep getting offered bits of work.would also like to totally strip down mk1 caddy that have .
