Sander for small wooden toys

Hello Everyone
Christmas is coming and I thought I would make some wooden toys for the Grand Children .
Cutting out the shapes on a band saw from planed timber is no problem but what do guys use to take off all the rough edges.
I have looked at Tumble Sanders , Flap Discs and Brushes , they are all pretty thin on the ground , what is the best bet to save a lot of fiddly sanding. All the Best desmo11225

Dremel and drums/flap wheels are great. Worth clamping the dremel and moving the workpiece sometimes.

Belt sander clamped upside down is usefull too and a decent palm sander.

Job to know without knowing what you are making. Ive got one of the combination belt and disc sanders, which serves most of my woodworking needs.

A lot of rounding over I do with a router, then a quick rub with some sandpaper by hand- never seems too strenuous.

As Hitch says, sanding what? Are you wanting to sand flat faces, contours, curves, edges? Bevel or round edges? Unless your cutting is really rough, hand sanding sorts most things.

Not sure exactly what you are doing, but a 45 deg bearing guided cutter in a router table is a fast way to ease the edges.

+1 for a power file. I got a silverline one, But for how much I'm going to use it, It's not gonna stress that much.

I have the Evo one, one of the handiest [and most used] grinding/filing/sanding tools I possess.
