Sanding Belt Jointing Tape

I've got some powerfile belts butt joined with a fibreglass reinforced tape. Does anyone know where to buy it?

That's scrim tape for plasterboard joints, the stuff I want has a very strong adhesive on 1 side.

Worth a try surely, if only from the entertainment angle.

First one I found. There is strong stuff about though, we used to use it where I worked. 3M made it I think

It might be 3M 8954. That is described as cross weave filament tape. Without looking at a belt, I do not remember it as cross weave, so it could be 3M 8953 mono filament tape.

I've got a roll of 3m 79 glass tape, seems quite sticky so may work for you.

its not that simple making up belts just sticking them together

I tried with fibreglass packing tape...the adhesive wasn't strong enough unfortunately.
