hi guys it's been a while since i posted any projects but this is a scarecrow sculpture i am currently working on , it is a work in progress but hopefully i will finish it soon.

Nice work on the head. How did you make the curves?

thanks chunko , just rolled some rings for the head and cut them in half i also used 2 car springs welded together at the base tried 1 and it just toppled over tried 2 and it holds it upright nicely with just a little sway , left it outside on a windy day and it seemed to hold up nicely ,so far so good.

my user names online are usually scarecrow or tattie bogle which is a scottish name for one , all the things i have made have been rather small and i fancied doing a bigger sculpture i had thought of a dinosaur but i just couldn't get it gelling in the mind , don't recall why but i thought of a scarecrow and it just sparked the imagination and i went for it , this weekend i am going to make a tattered looking cape for it out of expamet mesh so hopefully there will be more pics soon.

yeah was thinking of making a tattie looking top hat, wire frame design with dents and bulges with either a metal flower or feather coming from the side.

hi guys here's the latest progress expamet mesh fashioned as a cape/tattie clothing gonna cut some more holes inside and put a spider in one side and a mouse in the other.

Yep .....like that, agree about the hat though...would just be the finishing touch.
