Has anyone extended the tubes that come with schutz/wax guns? Wondering if I can get away without drilling extra holes in my cars sills. The tubes are so short, but wondering if making longer ones will stop it drawing the glop well...
I think you will find that doesn't work.
If you shorten an old nozzle, so it's about half an inch long,
it should put heated stuff out in a cloud out that will hit things
about 6 feet away. I spray chassis with a schutz gun like it.
I tried an extension, but it needed air adding to the goop somehow[concentric tubes?].
I ended up making a little pressure pot that will put a mist out of thin
tube[5m of 5mm diam nylon tube].
Exactly! I've seen long pipes used on Shutz guns for wax injection. If you take the nozzle off the end of your short tube and attach it to the long tube, it will work, provided you have enough pressure, the temperature is warm and the diameter of the new longer tube is the same as the old one.
