Probably but it was not thought about when it was purchased. No one has asked the obvious question: what is the SDS Max tool you wish to use? Does it have no equivalent in SDS plus?
Not really. A Max is only bigger diameter SDS would provide the same umph. Its only to remove tiles not concrete.I'm not sure it will work that well as the sds plus's drill might not be able to provide enough energy to drive the drill bit properly.
A bit like hitting a crow bar with a toffee hammer.
just use the proper chisels designed for your drillI need to use an SDsmax 18mm tool in an SDS plus drill and I can't find an adapter.
I can find ones going the opposite way but not to use sds drill with an sdsmax chisel
as already been said an adaptor will weaken its impaction from the drillI'm not sure it will work that well as the sds plus's drill might not be able to provide enough energy to drive the drill bit properly.

These.just use the proper chisels designed for your drill
you dont need to use an sds max drill bit, what i believe its you thats wants to use one of that size when the other chisel bits are just fine to use
as already been said an adaptor will weaken its impaction from the drill
as it goes for chisels i prefer the larger bit to use when chiseling tiles off the wall

Is it? I just assumed it was the usual sales gimmick by making it thicker.A max is a very differient beast to a plus.
A sds and sds plus are the same but differient.
just use the proper chisels designed for your drill
More a case they have already purchased this.
