Seal female hydraulic fitting

How do you seal this kind of fitting? At the hardware store they said it didn't need any o-ring or teflon tape that it sealed by itself but I just tried using it and I get leaks on the back part:

I was gonna use it on this hydraulic tee:

It's s ground face union and in theory should be self sealing

To me it looks like the tee is a compression union fitting using an olive and nut and the hose end isn't.
Isn't there a little rubber seal in the hose end?

From the images to me it looks like you have 2 styles of fitting.
Does the top one seat on a internal flat face and the T is a 60Deg cone face.

The female fitting is just like in the picture. I can send more details if you want, in order to help me

So it seals by itself right? I haven't tried it on the tee since I had to use the tee I was gonna use for another thing so now I have to buy another one, I tried it on another kind of fitting so that is probably the reason why it didn't seal right? So it is supposed to automatically seal with the hydraulic tee?

Yes should seal direct without any other parts provided both parts are t the same standard, if you look through the link I attached it covers where it can go wrong.

Yeah I saw that. Yeah they probably are the same type since they are sold by the same hardware store and they told me it sealed automatically. Just have to wait until friday so the new tee arrives to the store so I can buy it, thank you for the help. I will tell if it worked by then

std bsp hydralic pipe fittings, use literaly 100's of them they seal without problem normaly tho there are a horrific number of styes of hydralic fitting avalible

tbh the plain metl ones are less hasstel than the O Ring Sealed ORS type i find

If they don't self seal just tighten them a little more.

They are self sealing and if they don't seal its mainly a little surface contamination on the mating faces which causes it.
