Hi there,
I bought a Sealey 3Hp compressor SAC5030VE, 50lt Sealey, air displacement 11.6cfm, maximum air delivery 8.1. I would like to use it with a Sealy gun like this http://www.tool-net.co.uk/p-366874/sealey-sac5030ve.html?gclid=COSPyZzvt7kCFe_LtAodVGIAUw, Air Pressure: 30-50psi Air Consumption: 6-11cfm.
The compressor isn't big enough I am aware of that, I thought that if I use that gun with the compressor I will only be able to spray for a minute or so and then will have to wait for the compressor to recharge. Instead I was told over the phone by the Sealy technicians that I will probably blow the compressor by doing so and will probably damage it beyond repair; then I was adviced to buy a bigger one. As I have an imminent deadline and I won't be able to buy one in time, I would like to know if it is really that dangerous to try an run the gun, what do you think? I am spraying water based and I wouldn't mind having to wait a bit while spraying. Thanks for your advice!
Many thanks
Elso
