Usually the vent hole to the paint cup is blocked and if air can't get in paint can't get out.

providing you Thoroughly cleaned the gun, by taking the main components out and cleaning them, the first thing that springs to mind is the fuid needle packing, make sure its doing what it is intended to do --provide a seal on the needle,lubricate it and make sure it is sealing, its so easy to fill the gun with thinners and blast it through to clean it, thats not sufficient. follow the instructons on cleaning and adjusting. consider gun wash its more agressive.

As above I have checked the vent hole. I had the gun apart completely and cleaned etc and it's doing the same thing. Stan what exactly do you mean by the needle packing.

it can only be a blockage or an air leak

On the devilbiss guns the needle packing is in front of the trigger, where the needle comes from the handle bit into the front part of the gun thats where the fluid tip and air cup screw on, the needle goes through it and the packing provides an air tight seal, it needs lubricating, it may well be hexagon headed , just called a packing nut. should be similar on the Sealy

Gun pulsating, what should you do?
Torque your fluid tip to 15-20 foot lbs. and tighten the fluid needle packing.
Jerky or fluttering spray *Loose or damaged fluid tip/seat. Tighten or replace.
Material level too low. Refill.
Container tipped too far. Hold more upright.
Obstruction in fluid passage. Backflush with solvent.
Loose or broken fluid tube or fluid inlet nipple. Tighten or replace.
Dry or loose fluid needle packing nut. Lubricate or tighten.
Ps Just read your reply, since its teflon it may not need lubricating, --CHECK and yes it needs to be tight but not sufficient not to allow the trigger to work properly
