sealing air regualtor fittings

Hi, any idea what type of sealing i need when fitting a new regulator?

im going to fit a new regulator to my clarke shhh compressor. the old one had some form of loctite on it.
would some loctite 638 seal it up and lock it in place ok?
i dont really want it to move once fitted, so ptfe tape is probably a no no

Use Loctite, dont use PTFE tape, there is a risk of splitting the ally castings as I know to my cost.
