I am going to build myself a small digger & have the plans for all of the steel work etc, but I need to sort out the hydraulic control side of things.
I have an engine & pump, and need to control 7 hydraulic cylinders and 2 motors. The main criteria is to be able to control the slew and boom cylinders from one lever, and the dipper arm & bucket cylinders for another. This would give me the ability to perform the "digging" functions from two levers ideally mounted each side of the operator.
The other three cylinders are for outriggers so maybe a 3 bank monoblock type control valve will be the easiest solution for this. The two motors drive the front wheels & effectively it will be a skid steer type of steering so again, possibly a 2 bank monoblock valve will do for that, however it would be nice to be able to swing over a diverter valve and be able to use the controls for the digging arm to control the motors too.
So, any body on here familiar with these sorts of components? I'm looking to use lever operated valves to keep things simple, no electro-hydraulic stuff as that would probably just complicate matters & cost a lot more.
