Set Up Procedure for Oxy Propane cutting equipment

Hi,

We have recently converted to Oxy / Propane cutting equipment. Does anyone have a defined procedure for setting this equipment up for both cutting and heating?

If so, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure u have propane cutting nozzles in your torch (they are different to acetylene nozzles) set your pressures to Roughly 5psi propane, 50psi Oxy.
Light your propane and get a good flame going, add some oxy to stop the flame detaching from the nozzle, then open up your propane fully. Add oxygen until you get a 2" diameter star fish shaped flame when you put the nozzle up against a piece of steel.
