Setting up air line for painting

I am trying to buy the bits I need to setup my airline for spray painting.

I have already bought a selection of compression fittings and copper piping (15mm) from my local diy store. Would these be able to take the pressure generated by the compressor (rated at 8 bar)? If this is likely to be a problem I will take the feed from the compressors regulator and adjust the pressure to what is required.

Secondly, what filters would you recommend I use? The guide on here suggests a filter regulator and oil removal filter. Happy to go with this setup, but which ones are people using and where did you get them from?

Copper plumbing pipe will take the pressure, it has to cope with 10 bar mains water pressure anyway.
You need a filter regulator only for spray use, I would recommend going for a quality brand item instead of a Machine Mart cheapy. Ideally for spray work a filter drier should be used but they are V expensive !

Its only for occasional use, so don't want to spend too much (drier).

What are the good brands? Most of my searches have pointed me towards Screwfix or Machine Mart!

I bought a good filter/regulator from Thorite a few years ago and it has served me well. Cost about £30.00 then.

I've had a few from Machine Mart and one from Aldi which have all failed.
