And continuing from my first project, I moved onto a project for the home business that the missus and I run (Home Crafty makes etc...)
As I want to get into glass engraving / sand carving I thought it was a good plan to start building a sandblasting cabinet.
I picked up a pot blaster from a forum member when I was over in the UK one time in October 2012 and then need to create my ideal cabinet.
As I write this, however, I am in the process of replanning/redoing it as some of the angle iron that I was making the frame with, has bowed due to being a bit trigger happy when welding and the heat has buckled the sides somewhat.
So I am planning a MK2 using 1" box section and taking my time !!!
The cabinet is approximately 950mm wide, about 600mm deep and about 900mm high.
The entire thing is then mounted on a 1" box section frame to allow for the down chute for collecting abrasive, so it ends up about 2000mm high.
I have an old hoover for dust extraction and have some ansell under cabinets lights to fit in it when the time comes.
Pics to follow...
