I baught a cheap led strip on amazon, the stick on type on a reel.
12v straight to the battery in the shed, charged on solar.
Super bright and has worked and stayed put in the hot and cold.

Incase anyone recommends V-tac, which I would have done in the past, they have changed their design and the last lot I bought hummed so loud I bought a Meanwell LED driver off ebay and ditched the internal drivers.
I had a square one of these above the lathe for several years. No led's have failed, good design in my opinion, its nicely diffused. I did not fit it properly either, it is just screwed the the ply ceiling without a cutout - which may be bad, but it doesnt get hot. Cant beat it for a pound!
