I need suggestions for an LED light for inside SWMBO's shed - no leaks, bone dry inside - looking for 5 foot led, good quality, reasonable price.

I baught a cheap led strip on amazon, the stick on type on a reel.
12v straight to the battery in the shed, charged on solar.
Super bright and has worked and stayed put in the hot and cold.
Think it was £7

I have a vtac batten light in the garage. IP rated, soft start.
240v.
Think it was about £30 on amazon.
Its a sealed unit but you can chain them.

Its much better than the more expensive brillihood battens I baught. Those turned out to be total cr@p.

i went both led bulb type and an led batten light

the bulbs are cheap enough and can be used with standared fittings

whilst the batten type the whole unit has to be replaced as they do fail or go duller as the leds start to fail in them

Incase anyone recommends V-tac, which I would have done in the past, they have changed their design and the last lot I bought hummed so loud I bought a Meanwell LED driver off ebay and ditched the internal drivers.

I had a square one of these above the lathe for several years. No led's have failed, good design in my opinion, its nicely diffused. I did not fit it properly either, it is just screwed the the ply ceiling without a cutout - which may be bad, but it doesnt get hot. Cant beat it for a pound!

cheap as chips, but being CPC should last a decent while

the connector blocks on the back are a little small, would be nice if they were bigger for when you're chaining a bunch of them together in a line

I've got some in the factory on 14 hours a day, some on 24/7 inside freezers.... no problems /failed leds so far

used to get led strips on ebay and really liked them, but the last few batches have been crap :-(

Stickney car boot .
There's normally a bloke there selling them . A few people I know have them in their garages/sheds , no one's been moaning about them .
Wednesdays and Saturdays . Might still be there today , if your quick !

I've bought a few from Screwfix when they are on offer, seem to work quite well.
