Sheet Metal Roller advice

I have a good set of rollers but there not slip rollers I have be puzzling over this for quite a while as yet not done it converting my ordinary roller to slip rollers, so I can make a complete tube.

The question is, is it just a matter of slicing a piece out so as one of the rollers can "slip out" or am I missing something, dont want to cut them unless I am dead certain anyone done this.

He is what mine are now.

Doesn’t the pin come out of the roller to release it.

Hi press no pins looks solid put it on a trolley this morn here is were I was thinking of making the gap there is a lot of space at the handle end. also the winder roller just sit in a bronze or brass bush so would lift out

Wouldn't the tube form around the top roller? Does the top roller come out of the chassis? Would you be able to remove it if there's a tube wrapped around it?

I think I'd be looking at ways to separate the legs, pull one end off while somehow supporting the rest of it. Looks like that is how it is assembled. If you make sure the "captured" top roller is the shortest perhaps by lengthening the other, you only have to separate the legs a few inches to allow the short roller to become free at one end. The rest of the gubbins is still supported by the disconnected legs. maybe that's why the handle roller is "too long"?

Hi yeh gone off the idea of cutting them may look for a set that does what I want when they come round at my price these do a good job as long as I dont need a cylinder

Looks to me like perhaps the handle should be easily removable and the roller pulled out from the other end perhaps.
Does the diameter of the roller fit through the adjuster slot on the end?

No it dosent that was my first thought none of the rollers will pass through

If you unbolt the leg at the handle end, it should pull apart and the shorter two rollers will be free. I am assuming the two shorter rollers are not captive in their height adjusters and should just pull out.

They look put together wrong to me . The gears should be the same side as the handle so they come apart easily to release the roller ie you pull on the handle taking gear with it. That show my small pinch rollers work

Wont work like that the roller would not come through the gap where the bronze bush is.

you can see the lead on the shaft so it most likely comes out
