A friend and his wife have a craft-shop / tea room. Asked me to make him a bracket for hanging a sign,
This is the result. Note the horseshoes, worked out quite nicely as i had not got any metal suitable for a wall plate, When he gets the sign painted there is the choice of letting it swing in the breeze or nipping the mounting bolts to hold it still. The main arm is 2"x1" box section ( the paint is Aldi metal paint and seems to improve with age, I think the frequent use is letting the solvent etc evaporate and the paint is thickening it a little giving much better finish, I have told him if he wants it to swing, then attach a small chain from the bottom of the sign to the wall to restrain the movement.
