Short lengths of air hose with fittings?

Hi all, I need a short (<2m) length of air hose with 1/4" BSP fittings to go from the compressor to the filter/regulator. Any ideas where I can buy this from? I can only find at least 10m which is way too long considering the hose from the filter/regulator is mostly still coiled when used.

Why not cut a bit off the outlet pipe and fit to the inlet? Then buy the relavent fittings.

I used tap adaptors from b&q.

1/2" to 15mm comp though.

I think you can get 1/2" - 1/2" and use adaptors

Be careful with B&Q plumbing stuff - not all of it has BSP threads. I've found Screwfix to be OK though.

Whilst you're playing around with hose lengths, you'd be better having the longer hose to the inlet of the reg. and siting the reg. itself close to where you're working.

Machine mart sell a short whip hose with a pcl one end and a bsp thread the other. Supposed to be for connecting your tool up so you don't plug it direct into a coupler I think. I use one to join two tanks together.

It would be nice to cut up my hose as it's way too long, but how would I attach the fixings? Crimpers are way too expensive! Is there a DIY alternative?

Are we talking about rubber hose, braided nylon or those slightly harder spiral coiled hoses?

I use Jubilee clips on rubber and braided nylon.

I use Oetiker clips, if I have any the right size. Otherwise I use lock
wire. So most of my hoses have lockwire.
