Siemens S2AM Meter (single phase) in meter box

Evening Guys/Gals,
The meter pictured is the one installed at my house. I'm a qualified spark, but never done much house bashing. As I can't find any details on the interweb, I wonder if someone on here may be able to tell me whether the 'Rotary Switch' under the bottom right cover is used for isolation or configuration of the meter itself?

You need a visit from the "seal fairies" so you can have a look under the covers, may see some clues as to how it works.

I never said that I did, however it may be a more convienient method of disconnection than pulling the fuse

Found an image of beneath the cover...

Can't find any more useful info, but it doesn't feel like a 100A isolator. Might be just a selector to disconnect the dual rate function.

Trial and error perhaps, if you want a proper answer.

Thanks Robert - that is certainly not a 100A isolator (unless it's for chinese amps) - I think the main fuse may 'accidently' fall out

Found a pdf of the s2as which may be similar to the s2am, it has a switch beneath a right cover which manually isolates the incoming supply...

does not need to be that large for off load operation
the sliders that isolate the spare points in a merlin board are tiny- designed for no load switching

Similar to my old meter - it’s an off-load isolator as mentioned above.

It is a 100A isolator, but only an isolator and not a switch so it should only be operated under no-load conditions.

Surprisingly little live work - shoving fuses into skeltag risers for our big broaches was about it (we had a cable jointing team)

Well that went well! I wound up beating 7 shades of ****e out of the meter with a hide faced mallet because it wouldn't reconnect - first use since it was installed in 2002
