Hello,
For the NCT had to get a patch on the sill in front of the back wheel, the primer that was put on doesnt look that tidy and rust is showing, so got a can mixed in Halfords to the color code. I may not get a aperfect finish but it should look tidier than it is now.
Just wondering what is the best way to do this, i bought a tin of halfords spray on primer, or should i use red rust primer and brush it on.
How many coats of primer would you recomend i apply once i clean it all back to bare metal, also does the paint need to be sanded down between coats and again how many should i apply. The plate was only placed on over the rust in the sill and welded, so close up even if painted to a high standard wont look great, but i just want to get rid of the rust.
