just to confirm i have my rand compressor up and running on its old pump.it makes 8 bar.my old one was smaller tank made 10 bar. how is it adjustable or is it not worth it. just want to get the most out of it.

When you say it makes 8 bar, do you mean it switches off at 8 bar or the pump struggles to reach above 8 bar?
Normally there is an adjusting screw/nut on a strong spring in the pressure switch, some photos would be useful. Tighten the screw to increase cut-off pressure.
You will need to ascertain that the safe working pressure of the tank is 10 bar (or whatever you want to run at) and that the pressure relief valve is set to 1 bar above your normal working pressure.

yeah switches off at 8 bar. sure i read somewhere,correct me if im wrong, air compressor tanks are tested to 225psi, i dont want it to run that just 10-11 bar 150-160 psi like my old one. or more but pump will struggle? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

ill check its cut back in pressure sure is 80 psi and stops at 100psi ill double check.

It is not so much the pump will struggle, it is the motor.
The way to check if your are using to the max, is to get or borrow, a clamp on ammeter run the pump checking the pressure AND the current drawn, then adjust it to stop at the safe upper limit of the motors cont. rated amperage, NOT the pressure YOU want, then that is the safe limit for the motor.
This is all as long as the tank is safely capable of the achieved pressures!!!

i remember looking at the specs and it should be 10 bar 150psi not sure why it isnt to be honest

The specs of what though?? the pump --- motor---tank all have their own different specs, even for 'one complete' compressor.
All the specs SHOULD be similar for one manufacturer, BUT each could be able to overload the other if not adjusted correctly, or if one component has been swapped out at some time.
Also manufacturers usually set them and aire on the safety side.

the compressor is as it was left factory and they show spec as 10 bar 150 im just wandering if its had a new switch? the tank should take 150psi easy?

In that case as mentioned earlier adjusting the nut/screw on the heavy spring pressure will raise the cut off they are normally marked -^>+ for the direction to turn . that will normally adjust the cut in pressure at the same time by the same amount.
