Simple bending Jig.

Some time ago I cut some brackets for angle grinders and although I could bend the units in a Machinemart bender, it was difficult to set up and get right when doing a 180 degree bend around a die.
Had some bar and bits so made up a simple jig that will take up to 3mm thick bar, with the 2mm stuff I used today was very easy to do and then a little bit of rubber mallet to finish off, all done in the vice and seems very repeatable.





So well worth doing them for them small jobs.

The trouble I find with jigs is looking at them a year or two later and wondering how they work and what they are for.

The problem I have is keeping these things together, I end up using parts for something else and then later wonder what happened to it when I need it!
Hi Gordon, they are definitely better bends then I managed before, helps give a better finish.

I chuck all mine in a box or hang them on the wall.
I found one and was left thinking 'Wow that's clever, who made that'.
it must have been me, but I had no recollection of it at all.

I usually end up cutting things I've made to make something else when they have not been used for a while.

Worst thing is when I remember what they are for but can usually only find one bit at a time
